Merry Christmas!#unitedstatesofamericastreet #americastreetchristmas
I wish I could travel by umbrella. Contrary to - whats becoming more clearly to me now - popular belief I truly enjoyed every second of the opening ceremonies of the Olympics. (Up until I stopped watching when the athletes made their way in) I thought it was perfectly English and I adored every reference to British literature. I love the Brits and how they managed to turn this epic opening ceremony into a quaint and charming tale at the same time.
let this be me.

So it’s a pretty nice night out this evening, especially nice enough to have my window open. This makes me realize how much I really find comfort in listening to the sounds of the harbor and the train. The slow moving sounds of the train going along the tracks and the horns from the boats coming and going from the harbor. It’s so relaxing in the fact that, most of the time I don’t even notice either of these things. I love times like this when other things can’t distract me and I get to just listen.

So I’ve been trying to think of how I’m going to write about New Year’s resolutions, without totally setting myself up for failure. I.E. at the end of 2012, looking back on my tumblr blog and realising I haven’t travelled around the world, lost 100 pounds, or taken up skydiving on the weekends. (I don’t actually want to take up skydiving, maybe just once)
I do in fact though want this to be a fantastic year. And I think it will be! I was reading one of my favorite blog websites and came across this blog, and I think it pins the tail on the donkey.

I think everyone should take up this mentality. It’s pretty kick-ass.
More to come on things I’d like to do/complete in 2012.
